Welcome to Children’s Ministry at WRBC.
My name is Megan Cunningham, and it is my joy to serve in the role of Children’s Ministry Coordinator. I have been serving in children’s ministry at WRBC for about five years and the Children’s Coordinator since 2023. Here at White Rock Baptist Church, we strive to create a nurturing and loving environment in which children can gather to learn and immerse themselves in God’s Word. I invite you to look through the various programs we offer and see if it might be a good fit for your family. If you have any questions, or would like more information, you are welcome to contact me children@wrbcnm.org, or find me on a Sunday morning. We looking forward to meeting you and your family.
Sunday Morning Service, we invite your children, ages two through kindergarten, to engage in their own, specially curated children’s church program. Here they will worship together, work through the Bible in one year with a weekly lesson, and fellowship through play and snack.
Your older children (first grade and up) will join you and the rest of the congregation to listen to a sermon given by our pastor. Your child is welcome to grab an activity from our busy station located in the back Gathering Space if they need something to keep their hands busy while their ears listen.
Is your child younger than two? We have an amazing Nursery staff member, Beth, ready to love on and take care of those children infant to two years old. You are welcome to drop them off or stay with them in our Nursery room during service. There is a stream of the service on the TV for you to enjoy.
Sunday School. Following service (10:30-11:30 am), we offer Sunday school classes for all ages. Nursery is offered during this time as well. Our Pre-K through 4th grade kids get to dive deeper into an age-appropriate Bible lesson, while our 5th and 6th graders explore a curriculum in which they are starting to make connections between the Old and New Testament.
Throughout the Year. We offer a variety of programs throughout any given year. Here is a look at some of the regular programs (please note that this is just a look at what a typical year looks like. For a more formal calendar look at kids’ programs, please refer to the church calendar)

- To encourage each child to become a fully devoted follower of Christ by providing children with the tools they need to develop a life long faith and relationship with Christ.
- Demonstrating the love of Christ by being disciples ourselves.
- To develop our children's ministry gifts through many acts of service for our church and community.

Children's Church
Once Children's Time has concluded, children ages 2 to 5 years old are dismissed to their own Children's Church classrooms to finish out the worship service with activities and lessons aimed to their learning level and skill building.
|
Children ages 6 and up are encourage to stay in the main worship service. Special church bulletins and busy binders are available by the information kiosk in the Gathering Space. These activities and lessons are from the Bible and allow them to interact with the sermon through coloring and note taking. We encourage that learning and fun go hand-in-hand.
Sunday School
Sunday School begins after the worship service, around 10:30 am, and concludes at 11:30 am. Children are divided into similar groups like Children's Church. Each group meets for about an hour and incorporates the lesson and activities from the day and snack. Sunday school is for ages birth - 6th grade, with 7th and up attending Youth Student Ministry classes.
